Everything Norm checks, how he decides, and what he can't see.

What Norm is

Norm is a rug checker for people who are new to coins. You paste a coin's address and he gives you one of three answers in plain words, with a short note for each thing he looked at.

Norm only reads public blockchain data. He never asks for your wallet, never trades for you and never holds your money.

The three answers

Looks safe: none of the five checks found a problem. The coin can still go down. It just doesn't look set up to rug you.

Be careful: one or more checks found something worth reading. Many coins land here. Read the notes before you buy.

Stay away: the coin has one of the classic rug setups, like a maker who can take the money pot or freeze wallets.

Check 1: bundles

Wallets that bought the second the coin was made and still hold. Norm also traces who paid for each big wallet's buy. One wallet paying for a group of buyers counts as one person.

Check 2: fake chart

Norm reads the first 5 minutes of trades. Most of the buying in the first second, 5 wallets doing most of the buying, or the same wallets buying and selling over and over: that's a fake chart.

A real chart has lots of different people buying over time.

Check 3: early buyers paid by the same wallet

Norm checks where the biggest early buyers got their SOL. If one wallet funded a big chunk of them, it's a farm.

Check 4: the dev and the big holders

How much the dev still holds, and whether the top 10 wallets or one whale own too much. Norm leaves out the trading pool's own wallet, since that money belongs to everyone trading.

Check 5: the coin itself

Whether the dev can still print more coins or freeze your wallet. Coins made on pump.fun have both switched off from the start.

What Norm can't see

Norm can't read minds. A maker with a clean setup can still walk away, stop working on the coin or sell slowly over weeks.

He also can't see what happens off the blockchain, like fake follower counts or paid posts. Use Norm as a first check, not the only one.

The track record

Every coin Norm checks goes on the track record page with the time. He watches it for 7 days and marks what happened: rugged, fine, or still watching. Misses stay on the page too.

Norm counts a rug when the price falls 70% or more and the wallets he flagged held 10% or more of the coin and sold half or more of it. A coin that slowly fades isn't a rug.

How $NORM pays for it

$NORM trades on pump.fun. Each trade pays a small creator fee to Norm's wallet. That money pays for the blockchain data Norm reads, so checks stay free for everyone.

$NORM is a memecoin. Holding it doesn't give you a share of anything, and nobody owes you a return.

Staying safe

Norm will never DM you, never ask you to connect a wallet and never ask for a seed phrase. Anyone who does is not Norm.

Only put in what you're fine losing. Coins are a gamble even when they look clean.
